Gwendolyn Eadie is an Assistant Professor of Astrostatistics at the University of Toronto, jointly appointed between the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics (DoAA) and the Department of Statistical Sciences (DoSS). She obtained her PhD in Physics & Astronomy from McMaster University in 2017. Her PhD Dissertation was awarded the 2018 J.S. Plasket Medal by the Canadian Astronomical Society and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. She joined the University of Toronto as a professor in 2019. Her research interest is in the interdisciplinary field of astrostatistics, namely Bayesian hierarchical modelling and Milky Way structure. She is also now the co-chair of the AAS Working Group on Astroinformatics & Astrostatistics and the Program Chair for the ASA Astrostatistics Interest Group.
