Kimberly Strong is currently a Professor at the University of Toronto under the department of Physics, Experimental Atmospheric Physics. She obtained her PhD at the University of Oxford with the Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics Group in 1992. She then did do two postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Cambridge and York University. In 1996, she joined U of T as an assistant professor, and became a full Professor in 2016. Her research focuses on ground-based, balloon, and satellite remote sounding using spectroscopic techniques to measure the concentrations of trace gases and is currently working on projects in collaboration with Arctic Atmospheric Science, PEARL and Stratospheric Science with the Odin Satellite.
