Vanessa Raponi graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Materials Engineering & Management in 2018. After that, she joined Spin Master, leading global children’s entertainment company that designs and creates a diversified portfolio of innovative toys, games, products and entertainment properties. Raponi worked in the Engineering Management Development Program in four different engineering industries. Besides academic research, Raponi is also keen on promoting diversity in engineering in Canada. She is the founder and the president of the not-for-profit corporation EngiQueer Canada, which assists engineering schools on the sustainability of their respective LGBTQ+ engineering organizations. She is the advisor of the corporation.
