Gwen Grinyer (she/her)

Hi! My name is Gwen Grinyer and I’m an associate professor of physics at the University of Regina. For CCUWiP 2023, I am serving as a faculty mentor and am just helping out the student organizers with whatever I can to make sure the conference is a big success. I’m an experimental nuclear physicist who is fascinated with the structure of nuclei and their role in the explosive astrophysics. I am also passionate about equity, diversity and inclusion in physics and am involved in a lot of outreach activities as well! Check out my instagram @gwendoesscience if you want to learn more about me!

Dhruval Shah (he/him)

Greetings! I am the Webmaster for the 2023 CCUWiP. I am a third-year honours physics student with a keen interest in philosophy. I have also being doing research in nuclear physics – studying rare modes of radioactivity! I often write for our university’s student newspaper. I like to read fiction, watch movies, go for walks (especially in gloomy weather!), and play pickleball. I am super pumped to connect with everyone during the conference!
